Ladder Hill c.1914 and during WW2
Archive Notes:
Photograph taken c.1914 by Benedict Hugh Rolfe only child of C.C.Rolfe and his wife Annie.
Soldiers billeted, presumably with the lady in the photo, during the Second World War from USAAF Mount Farm, a former Royal Air Forcer station, three miles north of Dorchester in Oxfordshire. They are standing on Ladder Hill with the Railway Hotel visible further down to the left.
