Wheatley old Primary School in Church Road

The old school buildings, now residential, are covered by a listing, the details of which are 'Former school and school house. c. 1858. By G.E. Street. Squared coursed limestone rubble with ashlar dressings; plain-tile roof and stone stacks. Main range with projecting wings. Front has schoolhouse to left with 2-storey gable to left of arched entrance and, to right, a mullioned window below a flat-roofed dormer. Large school wing to right has mullioned windows and a double span roof. Windows in gable walls have relieving arches. Interior not inspected'.
