Frederick Charles Edmund Anson was born on 9th August 1908, in Churchill, near Chipping Norton where his father was Headmaster of the village school. He was the youngest of six children. When he was eleven years old he travelled by train each day to Oxford High School for boys. He trained as a teacher at Culham College. He first taught in Banbury and in 1935 he was appointed head of Rotherfield Central School near Henley-on-Thames - the youngest headmaster in Oxfordshire. He came to Wheatley in 1950 to be the Headmaster of a new Secondary Modern School - and here he met and married Moira.

Also shown are his 'tales' - a write-up about his and Moira's lives.

He died in December 1992.
