Letter written by Maurice Crick to his parents c1915 (NB Maurice is usually mis-spelt 'Horace' by the army). He is expecting to go to the front soon, and expresses sadness of hearing of the death of his edest sister's first baby. The family live at Westfield Cottages

Photo of Maurice Crick who served first in the Oxford and Bucks Light Infantry and then as Private No 8635 inther Machine Gun Corps. He fought in France and Flanders and died of his wounds on 18 December 1916.

Maurice's brother, Walter, who served in the 3rd battalion of the Worcestershire Regiment, was killed in action in France/Flanders on 27 May 1918
