Photos of the building of the houses in Kelham Hall Drive in the 1990s, and of a view across to the church in 1994. Press article from 26 February 1993.
This has an intriguing derivation, and prompted one rail enthusiast to produce an exhaustive history when the developers greeted the suggestion with blank stares. A railway engine built in 1931, took that name from a fourteenth century country mansion at Newark in Nottinghamshire. See also record 2573.
